2012 Holiday Gala

It’s our “Holiday Gala” complete with lots of seasonal fun! On First Friday at precisely 6:42 pm Santa Claus will light the Christmas Tree in front of Village Beads at 35th and SW Capitol Hwy. Many shops and restaurants will be open late, as for all First Fridays. But this Friday, we’ll have horse-drawn carriage rides in the evening, departing from the Multnomah Art Center starting at 4:30 pm and from Key Bank beginning at 6 pm. The last carriages will depart by 9 pm.
There will be well-wishers, carolers and revelers in the village both Friday evening and Saturday. Saturday morning Kiwanis will have “Breakfast with Santa,” a fundraiser to support their childrens’ programs, at the Lucky Lab from 8-11 am. (There’s a reason they say “Breakfast with Santa!”)
