Multnomah Village is proud to close their “main street” and celebrate Multnomah Days this August 16th 2008! Its our 100th anniversary year. The Multnomah Village Business Association organizes the event with the help of very special sponsors. Join us for the “Biggest Little” parade and Commissioner Sam Adams’s favorite one-day street fair in Portland. Walk, bike or bus on over to enjoy a full day of fun. The day is centered around the ten o’clock parade, lasting about an hour, so be ready to laugh and shout. Bands, cars, dogs and more will entertain you. The parade is only six blocks long on Capitol Highway through the center of the Village. Come early to check out the booths and get the perfect spot for your whole family. Over 60 vendors will line the streets showcasing art, food, crafts and merchandise. Roving musicians, street performers and interactive booths will keep the fun going till 5 pm. Bring your pup and pamper your dog at the Dove-Lewis dog wash at the Lucky Lab. Get up early to enjoy the Kiwanis pancake breakfast at Keybank from 8am to 11am. Multnomah Historical is putting on a “Grand Celebration For Our Community” August 8th – 17th. Committees are being formed, and plans will be made to include the entire community. An All Class reunion for the Multnomah Center, Historical displays, and interactive walking tours will all be taking place.
